Started work on player sprites based on this one piece of concept art, I went with the very first drawing and even though I don't think it was the smartest thing to do I just felt it matched what I wanted for the game's protagonist the most at the time. If I want to change anything I can at any time since nothing is set in stone.

He's really generic and average looking, but I do sort of want those attributes for the main character since you're supposed to play as your run of the mill guy experiencing the events of the game unfold while still having a sense of normalcy since your playing as a normal civilian.
The sprite version looks a bit goofy but i'd say it works. I'm still trying to understand the Aseprite software and how it works but i'm sure as I continue developing this game I'll get it.
also, in the video when I said he looked blocky, I was refering to how parts of him such as his face, arms, torso, ect. looked like squares and rectangles.
