Lighting is now being implemented, I plan to do it by ray casting so when it’s done I can have real-time light rays and shadows without it being difficult for a computer to handle. For now though lights and shadows are stationary. The inventory system is also something that’s gonna get some more attention soon because I want to start allowing the player to hold multiple items instead if just one at a time which is how it works as of now. One thing I’m procrastinating on at the moment is the left sided item animations, because the character is right handed he holds items in his right hand. This means that when he walks to the left there has to be separate animations for all the items that have them held in his other hand so that it looks like it’s still in his right hand. also that creature shown in the video above is called a silverfish and is the first neutral organism, this just means it won’t attack until you attack it first. This won’t entirely work until I finish it’s AI.
